Visiting a church for the first time can be a nervous experience for anyone. Here are some things that will hopefully help you feel more comfortable and prepared. If you still have questions after reading through this information, do not hesitate to contact us with your questions.

  • When you walk through the front doors, just make yourself at home. Grab a cup of coffee from the lobby, look around and find a place to sit, and visit with others who are joining us for worship. While you’re waiting, we would love it if you filled out a Connection Card (located on the back of each pew) and let us know that you were with us. When you’ve filled it out, you can drop it in the offering plate or just leave it in your seat when you leave. If you would rather do it electronically before the service, just click HERE.

If you have any questions or need directions, don’t be afraid to ask. We’re here to help.

  • Our Sunday morning worship service is a time centered around the preaching of God’s Word. The service lasts about 75 minutes and typically follows this format:

    • Welcome/Prayer
    • 3-4 Worship Songs
    • Offering/Announcements
    • The Preaching of God’s Word
    • A Time of Prayer/Closing Worship Song
    • Closing Prayer

    Worship Lyrics & Bible Verses

All worship lyrics and Bible verses are projected on the screen.

    A Note About The Offering

The Sunday morning offering is for those who are a regular part of Oak Grove. It is an act of worship done out of love for God and a desire to invest in the building of God’s kingdom through Oak Grove. If you are our guest, we want you to know that you are welcome to give, but we do not expect you to give during the offering.

  • We invite you to come as you are and to dress comfortably. Some people enjoy dressing up. Others prefer jeans and a t-shirt. Either is fine, and so is everything in between.

  • Yes!

    NURSERY (Newborn - 4 yrs)

Newborns through children 2 yrs old can be taken to the main nursery. Children ages 3-4 can be taken to Step 2 Nursery in room 103, next to the main nursery. If you have any questions or need assistance, don't hesitate to ask.

    * Our nursery has electronic paging system for your comfort & security.

    CHILDREN'S CHURCH(5 yrs - 3rd Grade)

Children in the age group begin worshiping with their families. Once we have finished singing, they are dismissed for Children’s Church, where they have a great time singing and hearing the truth of God's Word taught on their level.

OLDER CHILDREN (4th Grade & Up)

We encourage this age group to sit with their families during the entire worship service so they can worship with their families and grow under the preaching of God’s Word. To assist with children in this age group who are younger, you can pick up a “sermon notes for kids” worksheet in the lobby or from the front pew before the service starts.

Children are a blessing, not a distraction, and we welcome them into our worship service as much as anyone else.  So if you are uncomfortable with your child(ren) going to nursery or children's church, or would just rather keep them with you during the worship service, you are more than welcome to do so.

  • Traditionally, Wednesday nights were just small scale versions of a Sunday morning service. A little over a year ago, however, we changed that. We don't have a Wednesday night service; we have a Bible study. We open in prayer at 6:30; then, for the next hour, we walk through a biblical lesson in a very open and casual atmosphere that allows for questions and discussion so that we can grow deeper in our understanding of God and His Word. We'd love for you to come check it out.

Currently, Pastor Rocky is taking us through the Bible book-by-book, unpacking the history, context, and purpose of each book.

  • Oak Grove is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, a network of more than 47,000 evangelical churches across the United States.

  • We understand that COVID-19 is still a concern. We also understand that some find the requirements or restrictions in some places of worship because of the virus to be just as concerning. While there’s no way we can meet everyone’s expectations, here is some information that will hopefully ease any concerns you might have.

    • We do not require anyone to wear a mask during our worship gatherings. However, if you are more comfortable wearing a mask, we encourage you to do so.
    • Hand sanitizer has been placed throughout the building, and we encourage its use.
    • We ask that everyone be respectful of the personal space of other families/individuals.
    • We ask that everyone be respectful of the safety views held to by other families/individuals.
    • We are committed to making sure that everything is thoroughly cleaned after each gathering.

If you do not feel safe or comfortable attending, we invite you to watch us live on Sunday mornings on our YouTube channel.
